Current OnePlus flagship, the 3T is a great phone will good performance, decent camera and a long-lasting battery that costs far less than similarly specced Android flagship. Now that some leaks about the upcoming successor are out, it looks like OnePlus will want to do the same with OnePlus 5 too. Let’s discuss everything we know about the phone in this post.
Release Date
Although OnePlus is not a company that releases phones annually, it seems that the OnePlus 5 will be coming sometime the summer of 2017 as the company confirmed to The Verge. We expect the phone to come out on the end of June or at the beginning of July. One great thing about phone maker is that customers won’t have to wait too long to buy them as usually OnePlus’ public availability is far closer to release date compared to iPhones or Android flagships.
OnePlus 5 Specifications
OnePlus 3, 3T and even OnePlus 2 have packed a serious punch for the price including a decent sized battery, fastest available mobile processors and more than enough RAM to make sure than phones perform on par with other big names such as Galaxy S7 or HTC One 10.
As per some recent leaks, we can be sure that the OnePlus 5 won’t disappoint. The phone will come with a 5.5 inch AMOLED display that will have either a Full HD or a QHD resolution, the latter might result in a vastly improved mobile VR experience. Some reports also state that the screen may be slightly curved similar to Galaxy S8 and the Mi 6.
As per a post on Chinese social network Weibo, the phone will come with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, however, we may also see another version of the phone which will pack 8 GB RAM with 256 GB internal non-expandible storage.
The post also said that phone will come with a fingerprint sensor in front and a slightly larger 3600 mAh battery which will support Dash Charging technology.
OnePlus may also sport two rear cameras just like LG G6, but we don’t have any further details about camera specs.

Yeah so what , but will do half the things that S8 does ,plus does it have 4k display , that is why is an average phone
Nice specs so far, kindly alert me as to when it is out to public and how I can get it in Africa. Thanks lots.
OnePlus is a solid device. It just doesn’t make since buying the big names like Samsung and Apple when this phone works just as well with better specs and cost so much less. I have owned the OnePlus One almost since 2014. Only problem I had was with the OS until other ROMs came out.
