Now that the MWC is over we can finally focus on Samsung Galaxy S8. The smartphone giant decided to skip the Barcelone unveiling of Samsung Galaxy S8 and kept it for later. Now it won’t be too long before we get to see the most awaiting smartphone. A while ago Samsung announced the release date of Samsung Galaxy S8 to be 29th March. Another report said that it would go on sale on 21st April.
Now coming to the design.,Thanks to the numerous leaks that have been around we have a very clear idea as to how the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to look. Its design will be pretty similar to that of the previous Galaxy Smartphones. It will feature a front and back glass a panels fused together by a metal band. This time though Samsung has worked towards reducing the screen to display ratio. And the fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the back of the smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will have rounded edges and will be comfortable to hold.
The display will be Super AMOLED and Quad HD+. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will have 5.8-inch screen whereas the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will have a 6.2-inch display. Both the smartphones will have Snapdragon 835 processor, with 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage that will be expandable. It will feature 12 MP dual pixel back camera and 8MP selfie camera. Samsung has decided to do away with the home button on the front. Samsung Galaxy S8 will also feature an iris scanner.
Samsung’s personal assistant Bixby is set to make an entry with the Samsung Galaxy S8. According to reports, Bixby will be summoned by a button on the side of the phone. The smartphone will be water resistant with an IP68 rating.
Presently the pricing of the Galaxy S8 is pretty unclear, and we will have to wait for a while to make any concrete statement regarding that. But from the specifications that have been leaked, it seems as if the smartphone will be an evolutionary step forward for Samsung.
