nokia p1 leak

With the Nokia 6 midrange smartphone, HMD Global flagged off its Nokia Android smartphone lineup. It was greeted with a large excitement by the public, and it even sold off in under a minute in the first flash sale in China. The company will now, most likely launch Nokia P1 at its event in MWC 2017. It is supposed to the company’s flagship phone.

A lot is known about this device already. Here we have summed up all that we know about the upcoming smartphone.

Pricing and availability

The Nokia P1 will most likely come in two variants: 128 GB and 256 GB. They are expected to be priced at around $800 (roughly Rs. 54,500) and $950 (approximately Rs. 64,700) respectively. The smartphone is expected to be revealed at MWC where it’s pricing and availability will be announced. If Nokia 6 launch is any indication, then this smartphone too will be launched in China only and then made available in other countries at a later date.

Design

Based on the details we have now, Nokia P1 will be a premium looking high-end smartphone with a metal frame. The hybrid dual sim slot will be placed on the left edge while the volume up and down button will be on the right edge. There is going to be a Carl Zeiss lens at the back with the Nokia logo placed vertically. The device will have a USB Type-C port, a speaker grill, and 3.5mm audio jack. All of these three will be placed at the bottom of the device. The Home button will be below the display, most likely it will combine a fingerprint sensor.

Specifications

The smartphone is expected to have a 5.3-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5 on the top and have either HD or QHD screen resolution. It will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. The smartphone is expected to have a stunning 6 GB RAM. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is going to be the first device to run on Qualcomm new processor, and as the Nokia P1 is supposed to be revealed at the MWC launch, this processor choice seems questionable.

The smartphone is expected to have a Zeiss-certified 22.6 MP back camera and will also come with an IP57-certification for dust and water resistance. It is going to be equipped with a 3500 mAh battery and will support quick charging.
