Since the Note 7’s explosive débâcle, Samsung has been working on making S8 a phone that can shift the attention and help restore smartphone giant’s reputation. Several facts about S8 have leaked in the past including some pictures and specs, today, Evan Blass, who is one of the most reliable leakers of this stuff, shared a new picture of Samsung’s upcoming flagship.
The Press render looks very similar to earlier leaks including a nearly bezel-less screen and a taller that average screen ratio. However, looks closely and you will find, and you will find an additional button on the left just below the volume rocker.
No previous Galaxy phone have come with more than three buttons on the sides (two for adjusting volume and one as a power button) from the looks of it, the new button of the phone may be built to trigger the upcoming AI assistant which will be called Bixby.
Apart from the button, you can also find an iris scanner on the phone right on top of phone’s massive display. It will be the second time Samsung will be adding an iris scanner on a smartphone (first was, of course, the Galaxy Note 7).
Galaxy S8 may ditch its physical home button from phone front, and it looks like the rumors are true considering no home button is visible on the front of the phone, the phone will also have a taller display, perhaps an 18:9 ratio which will be similar to the latest LG G6.
Some specs of the phone are already leaked, it will be interesting to see how does the phone come out once it is launched on March 29.
