While Moto G5 and G5 Plus have leaked with images in the past, no one expected that Lenovo would be launching the phones this soon. Today, Cnet reported that the company would likely introduce the new phone at an event at Mobile World Congress next month.
The event is going to be on 26th February, and usually, Samsung, LG, and other companies launch their new phones on events like this.
Lenovo’s MWC Invite
Lenovo -which now owns Motorola since the company bought it from Google in 2014- sent the event invites to press members today. While the invites do not say the word Moto G5 explicitly, it shows Barcelona’s famous Sagrada Familia church in the shadow of a Motorola phone.
Nokia will also be launching new phone on MWC next month and currently Lenovo is most likely to launch the G5 before other flagship phones.
Leaked Photos of G5
Many details about the phone have already leaked online; the phones will have octa-core SoCs and both models (G5 and G5 Plus) will come with 5.5″ FHD displays and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
The Moto G5 Plus will have 4GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, and it will support external microSD expansion.
