Everything We know About Upcoming Nokia Phones in MWC 2017

HMD global had released Nokia 6 just after CES this year, and it was greeted with much enthusiasm by the users. Now the firm plans to launch another set of handsets at the MWC under the trusted name of Nokia.

The company will launch the reboot of the iconic Nokia 3310. It will also launch its flagship model Nokia 8. The company is also expected to launch Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. These two will be low budget Android phones with lower specifications that Nokia 6 targeted at the budget market. HMD global may also make sone other announcements at the event in Barcelona.

Nokia’s MWC event is set to begin at 4:30 pm CET (9 pm IST) on Sunday and will be live streamed on Facebook and YouTube for worldwide viewing.

Nokia 8

A report suggests that Nokia P1 will be the company’s flagship model and will be launched with the name Nokia 8. Leaks indicate that the device will run on Android 7.0 and sport a 5.3-inch display. It will have 6 GB RAM and will come as two variants of internal storage: 128 GB and 256 GB. It will have a 22.6 MP rear camera and be powered by a 3500 mAh battery. It is expected to run on Snapdragon 835 chipset. It may be priced at Rs 32,000.

Nokia 3 and Nokia 5

Not much is known about Nokia 5. The phone may have a 5.2-inch display with 12 MP rear camera and 2 GB RAM. It may be priced around Rs 14,000.

The Nokia 3 will be an entry-level smartphone priced at 10,500. It will run on Android 7.0 powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset. It will sport a 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage that will be expandable. It will have a 3-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera.

The phone is expected to stick to its roots and come with basic multimedia functionality. It will have a rear camera, 1.5-inch color screen. It will run on Series 30+ user interface and support FM radio. It will be priced around Rs 4,000.

Nokia 6 is presently available only in China. HMD Global is expected to announce its global availability at the event.
