I don’t know what is it so special about taking self-portraits, sorry, selfies that is forcing companies to stick bigger and bigger camera with every new phone. But, who am I to judge.
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo announced its new smartphone called A57 today in India. A57 is an Android Phone, and it will go on sale for almost 15,000 Indian Rupees on Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal starting February 3.
The phone comes with a 5.2 inch HD (720×1280) LCD display with slightly curved glass, and it is powered by an octa-core 1.4 GHz mid-range Snapdragon 435 SoC. There is 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of Internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB using microSD cards.
While the specs, especially the screen resolution are not that impressive for its asking price, Oppo not aiming to success with the screen alone. The A57 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and PDAF along with a LED Flash. The front of the phone houses a 16-megapixel camera with a f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity wise, the has 4G LTE, GPRS, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is no NFC built-in which might be a deal-breaker for many people.
