After being leaked to death and months of speculations followed by teasers from the company, OnePlus 5 is finally launched to the public. Unlike past phones, the company is putting emphasis on design, performance, and camera and saying that OnePlus 5 is “more than just specifications”.
Just as expected, the phone runs on Snapdragon 835 SoC which is clocked at 2.45 GhHz and it has a 5.5-inch FHD display, however, if you were looking for a OnePlus phone with the newer, taller aspect ratio just like Galaxy S8 or LG G6, you will be disappointed as it has 16:9 screen ratio. The phone will come in two variants: one with 6GB RAM and 64GB Storage and another with 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage.
Apart from that, both versions of the phone will have a 3300mAh battery, a ceramic fingerprint sensor, and a dual camera setup.
Speaking of which, the phone has 2 cameras in the back, the first one is a 16-megapixel camera with a f/1.7 aperture and OSI and the other one is a 20 megapixel telephoto lens with a f/2.6 aperture that will be used for 2X optical zoom. The phone has a 16-megapixel camera on the front too, that camera has a f/2.0 aperture and it can shoot in 1080p (the main cameras shoot in 4K)
In terms of connectivity, OnePlus 5 is the second device to come with Bluetooth 5.0 support, it also supports, USB-C, 4G LTE, NFC, A-GPS and almost all other important sensors.
The 6GB RAM version of phone will cost Rs 32,999 and the 8GB Variant of phone will cost Rs 37,999. OnePlus 5 is currently Amazon exclusive in India.
