Earlier this week, Lenovo teased its latest Android Phone, the P2 on its Twitter account. Finally, the company has revealed the phone and shared some details about the device,
Lenovo tweeted that the Lenovo P2 will be launched on 11th January and it will be exclusively sold on Indian online retailer Flipkart.
The phone has a massive 5100mAh battery, according to company estimations, the phone can last for 78 hours of talk time on a single charge. Apart from the impressive battery, the phone will have a 5.5″ full HD Super AMOLED display and it will be powered by Qualcomm 625 octa-core SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM.
The processor will be clocked at 2 GHz, and another variant of the phone will be sold with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, unlike Galaxy smartphones, the storage can be expanded using a microSD card.
Lenovo P2 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with a single LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and it also has a fingerprint sensor baked in the devices’ home screen.
The gigantic battery will support fast charging, and the company claims that it can charge the device for 10 hours in just 15 minutes.
In China, the phone costs 2499 RMB which is roughly 24,500 rupees in India; it will be interesting to see how the phone compares to OnePlus phones or newly launched Galaxy A phones.
