Recently, the current CEO of Snapchat, wrapped-off company’s glass project and it is called Spectacles, alongside with that, the company will also be going with a brand rename.
First, let’s talk about the new Spectacles, these are a set of sunglasses that cost $130. The Spectacles have an integrated camera with an 115-degree lens.

You can record videos and take photos with the integrated cameras and they will appear in the Memories section of Snapchat. In case you are wondering about the video’s orientation, don’t. Snapchat will have a new circular video format.

Alongside with that, Snapchat will new be known as Snap Inc. the main body will continue using name Snapchat for its app.

It will be interesting to see how the new Spectacles do in the market, considering the glass project did not go well with Google, expectations are pretty high for Snap Inc.
