Xiaomi’ Upcoming Phone Codenamed ‘Riva’ Just Got Leaked on Geekbench

Xiaomi is trying its best to hold against its rivals namely Oppo and Vivo in India. Now that Xioami’s Mi 6 is on the market and some details about the Mi 6 Plus are out, details about some other phones from the Chinese phone maker are out too. The company is looking forward to releasing numerous new devices soon as the information about Redmi Pro 2 is therein market, another phone as ‘Riva’ too is sought after. According to a benchmark, it will hold entry-level specs and hence, the phone should not be too expensive when it launches in the market.

Xiaoami’s new phone codenamed ‘Riva’ was found on a GeekBench benchmark listing by The Android Soul, the Xiaomi Riva has a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm SoC processor with 3GB of RAM and the phone was running on the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat version. Other details, however, are not yet known but considering that the phone did not score high marks and it’s SoC, we can be sure that Xiaomi Riva will be an entry level phone. It has scored 560 in single-core and 916 in multi-core benchmark tests.

The information is scarce as of now but Xiaomi is all set to announce the launch a number of smartphones this year, including a Redmi Pro 2 with 3GB of RAM, and a 4GB RAM variant. The Redmi Pro 2 would contain a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel sensor and rear camera will be 12-megapixel instead and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor in a dual camera setup. The front, on the other hand, will likely have a 16-megapixel sensor. While there is no official word from Xiaomi on the launch of the Redmi Pro 2, it should be coming this month.
