Xiaomi’s current flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is already a snappy and fast device that has been ranked among other flagship grade devices. From the leaked information, it looks like the successor will be the fastest phone made by any company.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 System-on-Chip, which itself was recently unveiled at the CES. With that said, a Chinese Weibo user claimed that the has access to the device and posted some screenshots of the device running the AnTutu benchmarks. The results show that if real, the phone will be a lot ahead than other devices on the market.
According to the user, the device scores 210,329 on the benchmark; it is surprisingly large number compared to other flagship phones. The iPhone 7 Plus holds the highest record till now with a score of 183,106 and the second place is of the OnePlus 3T (163,578) which is powered by a Snapdragon 821.
While a benchmark can’t guarantee a smartphone’s real world performance, but it shows that it is possible that the phone will be snappy won’t lag even when it is under load.
The Qualcomm 835 has a 10nm FinFET fabrication and compared to last generation Snapdragon 821, it can provide almost 27 percent more power while consuming 40 percent less power.
The device will be released before the third quarter of the year and it is expected to come with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options.
