Now Lenovo owned mobile phone makes Motorola has been known for its G series. The mid-tier smartphones are knowns for the value for money and their clean and almost bloat-free software. The next phone in the series – the Lenovo Moto G5 – just leaked on a second-hand product selling site OLX.
The listing has been taken down since, but 9To5Google has reported about the device specs and some images of the upcoming Lenovo phone.
As the leak suggests, the Moto G5 will run on Snapdragon 625 processor and 4 GB RAM. To complement the RAM and processor, the phone will come with 32 GB of onboard storage and an expansion slot to insert microSD cards.
Just like last year, The G5 will have a 5.5″ 1080p display and an almost same capacity 3080mAh battery. Surprisingly, Lenovo is not jumping on board with USB-C ports this time as the phone comes with Micro USB port and a standard 3.5mm audio jack.
Apart from the above specs, the phone will have a 13 Megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 5 MP front camera for selfies. Regarding design, the phone borrows some elements from the company’s flagship Moto Z line with a circular flat tire camera bump and almost flat back except there is no fingerprint sensor on the back and it has a curve on the sides.
While Moto Z phones have been known for their modular features, it looks like none of the modularity features will be coming to the G5 as the phone has no pins on the back of the phone to connect with mods even through the camera bump is very similar to the Moto Z.
The device seller has marked March 2017 as the availability date so maybe the phones are coming sooner than we expected.
