Xiaomi Mi 6 May Be Faster Than Samsung Galaxy S8, As Leaks Suggest

Mi 6 had earlier been spotted in a live image and now it has been spotted on Geekbench Listing. Their benchmark listing shows how powerful the device is. And the listings by Geekbench show that Mi 6 will be a powerful device.

According to Geekbench the Xiaomi Mi 6 will sport latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, alongside Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat, however, all of this was already known from before.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 scored 2006 in the single-core result and 6438 in the multi-core result on GeekBench, higher than what Samsung Galaxy S8 had scored. The Galaxy S8 scored 1916 and 6011 in single-core and multicore results respectively, and the Galaxy S8+ scored 1929 and 6084 in single-core and multicore results respectively. This is a clear indicator that Mi 6 is a more powerful device than the Samsung flagship models.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be launched on April 19 and it’s pricing and specifications have already been leaked. We know that Mi 6 will run on Android 7 Nougat and sport a 5.1 inch Full HD display. It will have either 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage. It will have a 12 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera. On the other hand, Mi 6 Plus has been tipped to have a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges and dual rear camera setup, whereas the Mi 6 will allegedly sport a flat display. Both of the devices will feature Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 support. The device is Tipped to have 4000mAh Battery, however, this may be for Mi 6 Plus.

Xiaomi Mi 6 will allegedly be launched in 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage variant priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 20,500) and 4GB + 128GB variant at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 24,300). The bigger Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, on the other hand is tipped to be be offered in 6GB of RAM + 64GB variant priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 25,000) , 6GB + 128GB variant at CNY 3,099 (roughly Rs. 28,990) , and 6GB + 256GB variant at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 34,600) .

Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 Specifications Leaked Before Launch

Xiaomi Mi 6 is set to be unveiled this month, and there already have been many rumors surrounding it. Key details of the device have now been spotted on GFXBench. Mi Max 2 has also been leaked on GFXBench, revealing the details of the upcoming phablet.

The listing reveals that Mi 6 will run on Android Nougat 7.1 with an unreleased version of MIUI, the company’s custom ROM. It will have 5.1-inch Full HD display and will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The internal storage will be 64 or 128 GB. The smartphone will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording support and an 8-megapixel front snapper capable of 4K recording as well.

This latest rumor is a bit different from the previous ones which said that the smartphone will sport QHD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges, 256GB of inbuilt storage, dual rear camera setup, and a 4000mAh battery. The earlier leaks had also suggested that the smartphone will be launched in 4GB of RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB variants priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 19,000), CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 21,800) and CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 25,600), respectively.

The Mi 6 Plus is tipped to come in 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB,variants which will reportedly be priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 24,700), CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 28,500) and CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 33,200), respectively.

According to the latest leak the Mi Max 2 is codenamed Xiaomi Oxygen and it features a 6.4-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) panel. It will feature 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory with 12 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. The Mi Max 2 is set to be launched in May and is rumored to feature Snapdragon 660 processor and to pack a 5000mAh battery.

Xiaomi Will Sell Redmi Note 4 at Rs. 1 With Some Other Deals At Mi Fan Festival

Xiaomi is hosting a Mi Fan Festival on 6th April, and a lot of devices and accessories will be put on sale on the Mi.com site. The tech giant is also hosting the Re 1 flash sale on the app. There will also be goodies, bundle offers and other products on sale.

There will be a Re 1 sale, where Xiaomi will give away Redmi Note 4 at that price. It is an app only event, so you will have to download the app and register. This sale will begin at 10 am IST. There will be 20 Redmi Note 4 up for grabs. There will also be a sale at 2 PM IST where 40 Mi Bands 2 and 50 10000mAh Mi Power Banks will be available for Rs. 1 as well.

In the one day sale, you will get the Redmi 4A and Redmi Note 4 for 5,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. Xiaomi is offering a Rs 100 discount on Soft Case if you buy the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime, and it is also offering zero present interest EMI on buying the Mi Max Prime. The Mi Protect accident and liquid damage insurance are also available at Rs 200 off.

There will also be up to Rs. 500 off other Xiaomi products such as air purifier, earphones, VR Play, Mi Band, and such. The Mi Air Purifier 2 and Air Purifier Filter bundle can be bought for Rs. 10,998 instead of Rs. 12,498. Additionally, the holiday bundle which has the Bluetooth Speaker, Selfie Stick, and In-Ear Headphones Basic Matte variant can be bought for Rs. 3,497 instead of Rs. 3,797.

The Fitness Bundle (which includes the Mi Band 2 and Mi Capsule Earphones) will be available at Rs. 2,598 instead of Rs. 2,998. The Power Bundle (which includes the standard adapter, the USB cable, and a 20000mAh Mi power Bank) is available at Rs. 2,497 instead of Rs. 2,797. And the Pro Bundle (which includes the Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro HD and the 10000mAh Power Bank Pro) is priced at Rs. 3,498 instead of Rs. 3,998.

Of course, all of it is a leak without any official confirmation. But if it is true then devices are very well priced as is always the case with the company.

The Mi 6 Plus is Tipped to have a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges and dual rear camera setup, whereas the Mi 6 will allegedly have a flat screen. Both the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and come with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology for fast charging support. This is Xiaomi Redmi 4A With 2 GB RAM, VoLTE And A 13 MP Camera For Rs 5,999

Over past few weeks, we have talked about some surprisingly affordable smartphones (this Intex Phone is a fine example that costs almost Rs 5,600), and today, one of the biggest China-based smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its new entry-level flagship phone for Indian markets. The phone is named Xiaomi Redmi 4A, and from looking at specs, it appears Xiaomi has raised the bar about what can be expected with a phone that costs less than $100.

Redmi 4A  has a body made of polycarbonate, and it comes with a hybrid dual SIM card slot.  The phone is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC which is paired with Adreno 308 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

Apart from that, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera at the rear with PDAF and a f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. In front, the screen size is 5-inch, and its resolution is 1280×720. The phone runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and the phone has 16 GB of built-in storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB thanks to an external MicroSD card slot.

Connectivity wise, the phone has support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS and Bluetooth v4.1. The phone’s battery is 3120mAh, and it has support for fast charging.

The phone will go on sale on Amazon India and Mi.com from 12 PM today, and if you want the gold variant, you will have to wait until April 6.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 With 6GB of RAM, Snapdragon 660 SoC Could Launch In May

It has been reported that Xiaomi will launch the successor of Mi Max in May. The Mi Max 2 is expected to come with 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 660 processor. The company is also working on another smartphone that will feature the same Snapdragon 660 processor that is supposed to be named Redmi Pro 2.

The Mi Max 2 is supposed to have the same display as its predecessor, that is 6.44 inch. A tipster posted on Chinese microblogging website Weibo, shared by GSMArena that the smartphone is going to be launched in May. The smartphone is expected to come with 6GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The smartphone will be equipped with 5000 mAh battery that will support fast charging.

It should be mentioned here that all of this is just a leak. There has been no official announcement about the specifications or availability of the phone, so we advice the reader not to totally believe anything that isn’t supported by an official declaration.

Now coming to that Snapdragon 660 processor. It is expected to have custom Kyro core like that Snapdragon 820 or it may have a combination of four Cortex-A73 CPUs clocked at 2.2GHZ and four Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.9GHz. This processor will go in production in the second quarter of 2017 and will power phones by Vivo and Oppo.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Images And Specifications Just Leaked

After the successful launch of its Redmi Note 4 in India, it looks like Xiaomi is preparing to launch another phone in its product lineup. The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 5 just got passed through the Chinese certification site as model number MAE136, while the listing does not include Smartphone’s name, Chinese media has speculated the phone to be the upcoming Redmi 5.

The reports contain specifications of the phone as well as some images. The phone will have a metal build with some rounded edges and similar to the recent Xiaomi Note 4, the device will have a fingerprint sensor on its back. The camera will be in a location similar to iPhone’s, and it will have a LED flash too.

The device will sport a 5″ display, slots for managing its Dual SIM setup and it will pack a 4000 mAh battery. The device will be almost 141 mm tall, and reports say that it will be 8.9mm thick. Apart from battery, screen size and phone dimensions, no other information has come to light, but from the leaked information, it is sure that phone will be aimed at mid to high range smartphone market.

While Motorola and Nokia are preparing to launch some new smartphones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, it is sure that Redmi 5 will not be launched in the event as the company has already cleared that it will skip the event altogether.

Xiaomi has new Mi 6 also on the line, which, as per some leaks, may be world’s fastest phone on the market at the time of launch. The China of Apple has been trying to grow lately, but companies like Oppo and Vivo have made more sales in recent months, it will be interesting to see what Xiaomi does to get its thrown back.

Xiaomi Sold 250,000 Redmi Note 4 Phones in 10 Minutes

Just a few days ago, Xiaomi -which is also called the Apple of China- announced its new mid -range smartphone called Redmi Note 4, and it looks like Indian customers are welcoming the product with open hands.

Xiaomi released a press statement that it sold 250,000 units of the smartphone in just 10 minutes on the first day of sale. It is more than three times the compared to Redmi 3S and almost five times more than its predecessor, the Redmi Note 3.

Xiaomi has had a good track record regarding customer satisfaction since the company launched its first phone in India, unlike other Chinese brands, the company has surprisingly managed to built customer trust, and it looks like its efforts have started to pay-off.

In case you forgot, Redmi Note 4 was launched in three variants in India, The first one is 2GB RAM/32GB storage for Rs 10,000. The second one is 3GB RAM/32GB storage for Rs 11,000, and the third version is 4GB RAM/64 GB storage for Rs 13,000.
