iPhone 8 Will Blow Away The Samsung Galaxy S8 in Sales, Forecast Says

Many Samsung enthusiasts might be waiting eagerly for the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S8 but recent reports suggest that Apples next generation iPhone might affect Samsung’s sales adversely.

Leaked render of Galaxy S8

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a new investor note. This note was focused entirely on Samsung’s device with a few details regarding the iPhone 8. It is predicted that the demand for Samsung Galaxy S8 will go down owing to the release of iPhone 8.

Kuo said that Samsung Galaxy S8 will lack attractive features that will hamper its demand thus ultimately pushing the customers to the new and improved iPhone 8. It is predicted by the analyst that Samsung Galaxy S8 will see lesser sale than the Galaxy S7.

Kuo also offered details regarding the iPhone 8 including that it will feature OLED display, wireless charging, new glass design, and function area. Many commented on the identical features of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8. However, Kuo said that these features would benefit Apple more than Samsung.

While the iPhone will be unveiled in September, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is all set to make an entrance later this month.

You Can Pre-Order The Xperia XZ Premium, But You Will Have To Be (Very) Patient

Sony definitely impressed a lot of fans on Mobile World Congress 2017 with the reveal of its new flagship: the Xperia XZ Premium. The phone looks to be one of the most premium made by Sony, and it has probably one of the most impressive cameras that we have seen.

But, if you are interested in buying the phone for yourself, you will have to wait for months before it actually shows up to your doorsteps.

The phone went on pre-order today for UK markets, and while the prize of the phone is also a hard pill to digest (it costs 650 euro), probably the biggest turn-off for fans is its shipping date. As per the Amazon listing, the Sony will start shipping the phone on the first June of 2017.

Also, only the Deepsea black variant is available as of now, and there is no word about the availability of the phone in other colors.

If you have been following mobile news lately, you must remember before Sony starts shipping the phone, LG’s G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 will both be in the market. It will be fascinating to see how Sony’s confidence shows after a couple of months.

If you were in the market for a phone, would you be pre-ordering an Xperia XZ or will you wait for Galaxy S8? Share with us in the comments below.

This Android Phone has embedded diamonds and a 360-degree camera

We have talked about premium Android Phones before and Gionee M2017 is a fine example of ridiculously expensive and crazy smartphones, but ProTruly’s Darling is not only premium, but it is truly innovative.

Protruly Darling
Protruly Darling

The ProTruly Darling is world’s first smartphone to come with a 360-degree camera that lets you take photos and record videos of all directions in once and it will also let you upload these clips to YouTube and Facebook which now support 360 degree uploads. Apart from that, the phone will have a premium version that will have some embedded diamonds.

But before we discuss the gems bolted-on phone, let’s talk about the Darling’s  design and specs. As the photos clearly suggest, the phone is not flat, and it has a quite large camera protrusion on both, front and back. While holding on hands should not be a problem, I think it certainly won’t be the most pocket-friendly phone on the market.

Aside from the crazy 360-degree camera, the phone will also have 13 MP shooters on front and back for traditional, old-school photos. ProTruly Darling has a 5.5-inch  FHD Display, and it comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor and a USB-C port.

ProTruly will sell the phone in two versions: the first one will be budget oriented, and as per The China Daily, it will cost $600. The Second one, while expensive, is much more interesting. It will cost $1300 and to justify the cost; it will have leather, a strip of gold and four embedded diamonds on its body.

I have added a video from MWC, in which you can see the phone in action:
