This is How Samsung’s Tank Like Phone Galaxy S8 Active Looks

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 Active has appeared in a recent leak with few blurred images. The design, therefore, couldn’t be claimed much neatly and the best presentation this leak has is a full mention of its specifications. And then quite dramatically, after a few hours of this leak, close ups and clearer image of the alleged Galaxy S8 Active was too spotted online. That showed no significant changes in design as was known already.

The design remains the same: No Home button, meaning that a rear fingerprint sensor is included. A 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 18.5: aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass is for display and the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. For optics, the Galaxy S8 Active could feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-pixel phase-detection autofocus, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, and 4K video recording. Up front, an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, f/1.7 aperture, and QHD video recording.

S8 Active will be an Android 7.0 Nougat based phone with 4,000mAh battery whose connectivity options will be Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and GLONASS. IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, considering it will be a rugged smartphone, is expected as well. The smartphone could be launched in two colors of Meteor Gray and Titanium Gold.

The smartphone is approved by the FCC in the US and the Wi-Fi Alliance and its launch is expected anytime soon. Samsung’s almost all Galaxy flagship versions are given a rugged treatment for a special edition of the phone, however, if history keeps repeating itself. S8 Active will be a carrier exclusive phone. It is slightly thicker with a protective layer on the sides making it a ‘rugged’ device.

Samsung’s 2Piece Cover For Galaxy S8 is The Ugliest And Most Terrible Case I have Seen

Yesterday, the south Korean smartphone manufacturer launched the much anticipated and much leaked Galaxy S8. No doubt, the Galaxy S8 is Samsung made engineering marvel and its design puts Apple iPhone 7 to shame. The same is not true about companies 2Piece Cover that company will be selling as an accessory for the S8.

S8 is a beautifully designed phone that screams quality and polish, it looks like a phone that has been made with a lot of love care and planning and then there is 2Piece Cover that Samsung will sell for $20. While the price does seem reasonable for a smartphone case, its design is what seems terrible to me.

The case does not add any more dust resistance or drop resistance to the phone that it can be given a pass about its looks because of its functionality. It just adds some weight to the phone and makes the smartphone looks super ugly. It has two pieces, one to add to the top of the phone and the other to add to the bottom and because they are not physically glued with one another, you can bet your ass one of them will fly off the phone whenever the phone gets dropped.

If you are getting an S8 for yourself, just skip the case no matter how much bikini inspired it looks, your $20 will literally be spent better anywhere else.

New Leaks Show That Galaxy S8 May Come With Face Detection and Ultra Slow-Motion

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are set to be officially launched in just a few days, and as the launch dates draw close, the leaks and rumors increase. A recent leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will feature facial recognition and that the smartphone’s camera will support ultra slow motion videos.

Also, an official poster leak shows Glossy Black Variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The leaked Galaxy S8+ benchmarks were also spotted showing performance ratings of both the Snapdragon 835 chipset and the Exynos 8895-equipped Galaxy S8+.

A report by Bloom berg indicates the security in the Samsung Galaxy S8 will include facial recognition in addition to iris scanner and fingerprint scanner. These security features will be very helpful with Samsung Pay and keep online transactions safe. The report states that “iris and facial detection capabilities complement each other: phones can rely on iris detection when there’s not enough ambient light to recognize facial features. But the smartphone unlocks faster and with more accuracy when it comes to recognizing faces.”

Another report by Naver shows that the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be able to shoot video at 1000fps i.e. ultra slo-mo, something Sony was able to achieve with its IMX400 sensor for the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. It is probable that Samsung will integrate its technology to achieve that kind of slo-mo, and like Sony’s fix, use adds additional DRAM to store those images before the ISP can take it all in.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event on March 29 in New York; it will start at 11 am EDT (9:30 pm IST).

New Galaxy S8 leak shows the phone in its full glory with an AI button

Since the Note 7’s explosive débâcle, Samsung has been working on making S8 a phone that can shift the attention and help restore smartphone giant’s reputation. Several facts about S8 have leaked in the past including some pictures and specs, today, Evan Blass, who is one of the most reliable leakers of this stuff, shared a new picture of Samsung’s upcoming flagship.

The Press render looks very similar to earlier leaks including a nearly bezel-less screen and a taller that average screen ratio. However, looks closely and you will find, and you will find an additional button on the left just below the volume rocker.

Galaxy S8

No previous Galaxy phone have come with more than three buttons on the sides (two for adjusting volume and one as a power button) from the looks of it, the new button of the phone may be built to trigger the upcoming AI assistant which will be called Bixby.

Apart from the button, you can also find an iris scanner on the phone right on top of phone’s massive display. It will be the second time Samsung will be adding an iris scanner on a smartphone (first was, of course, the Galaxy Note 7).

Galaxy S8 may ditch its physical home button from phone front, and it looks like the rumors are true considering no home button is visible on the front of the phone, the phone will also have a taller display, perhaps an 18:9 ratio which will be similar to the latest LG G6.

Some specs of the phone are already leaked, it will be interesting to see how does the phone come out once it is launched on March 29.

This is The Real Samsung Galaxy S8, Launching in March

The first real images of upcoming Galaxy S8 just leaked, and the phone looks as slick as possible.

Evan Bliss from Venture Beat, who is one of the most reliable leakers on the internet, just gave the world a first glance of the most anticipated phone of 2017. The photo proves many rumors about the phone, and the phone looks a lot like its predecessors.

The new phone will ditch the fingerprint sensor from the front and put it on the back side adjacent to the camera. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 will have an iris camera, just like the dreaded Note 7 on the front of the phone. It is also clear that Samsung will no longer sell flat screened version of the phone -there will be edges on all models. Surprisingly enough, the phone will come in two display sizes: 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches.

The screen size is larger than Note 7 even for the small 5.8-inch Display version of S8, but the phone should not be too large as it will have an 18.5:9 aspect ratio to minimize the screen bezals.

And there is something to mock Apple too: a headphone jack at the bottom.

Both devices will come with Snapdragon 835 or Samsung Exynos SoC which are almost 11 percent faster than current processors. The new SoC will also be nearly 23 percent more powerful in graphics processing, and it will consume 20 percent less battery which will be good as Samsung won’t put a larger battery inside the phones.

The smaller 5.8-inch variant will come with 3,000 mAh battery, and the larger one will come with 3,500 mAh battery.

There is some information about the camera too, the rear shooter will stay as the same 12 megapixels, but the front camera will get a bump to 8 megapixels from 5 megapixels in current flagship, the Galaxy S7.

Release date of Galaxy S8

Evan also has information about the release date of the phone. The company won’t launch the new phone at Mobile World Congress. Instead, the phone will be launched on March 29. The company should start selling the phone on April 21.

The Galaxy Note 7 was a terrific phone, well… until it exploded. Samsung has definitely had seen better reputation for itself in the past. Galaxy S8 is one of the most anticipated phones of all time, and this is probabbly why Samsung is trying to be as careful as possible.
