You Can Wash This Android Phone (Seriously)

Have you ever wondered how easy would your life be if you could wash that dirty dust off your phone with a nice soap? Well, if you are craving to have a product that is washable, you are in luck.

I don’t know why, but a Japanese firm has been making and selling washable phones since some years. The company “Kyocera” just launched a new washable Android Phone for general public. The phone is resistant to both foaming hand soap and body soap, and you can wash it just like you wash other stuff on your home.

But what fun is a phone that can only be washed? The company understands, and while the specs of the phone are not mind blowing, the phone still comes with a very usable hardware. The KYOCERA rafre has a 3000 mAh battery, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of Internal storage and to shame almost all mid-tier Indian Smartphones; it comes with Android 7.0 pre-installed.

The phone has a 5 inch LCD screen and a 5-megapixel camera on the front, and you can find a 13-megapixel camera on the back.

The phone will go on sale in Japan in March, there is no word yet if it will come to other countries or not, but let’s hope it does.

Many flagship phones, including iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have water resistance, but you can’t wash them with soap. If you have always dreamed about washing a phone on your sink, rafre might be the perfect smartphone for you.

Do I want one? No thanks, I better wash the dishes that I left last night.

An Apple Watch Stand Turns The Watch Into A Miniature Macintosh

It’s not that often when you stumble upon a product that is cheap, cool and handy, the Elago W3 is definitely one of them. Just a small glance on the stand communicates with our inner nostalgia factor.

It is a $15 silicon smartwatch band for Apple Watch that makes it look like you have a miniature Macintosh on your table, with the same iconic color, a cutout for a floppy drive and everything.

The stand supports Apple Watch Seris 1 and the Series 2 including all sizes and all bands. The stand works as the nightstand mode so that you can have your tiny Macintosh replica work as alarm clock right next to your bed.

After inserting the watch into the W3 stand, you can still use the touchscreen, and if you want a neater look, it can work with removing the Watch Band too.

The stand comes in two colors, and the company sells it through its website and on Amazon. If have already bought an expensive Apple Watch, spending some bucks on the stand should be no brainer.

Apple Has Killed Development of AirPort Wireless Routers

In a time when Google has started shipping its Wi-Fi routers, Apple has reportedly killed off development of it’s Wi-Fi router and assigned the product teams to other projects.

As Bloomberg reported today, The Company has been slowly shutting down the division over the course of past year. It is being said that Apple is doing so to focus more on consumer products that are making big bucks for the company.

In case if you wonder, Apple’s AirPort WiFi routers, which are included into “other products” of Apple’s annual earning reports made $11.1 Billion which is merely 5 percent of total income while iPhones are continuously making bulk money for the company.

Apple is hoping to use the workforce on more innovative products like Apple TV, iPads, MacBooks and iPhones.

While the development of AirPort routers has been stopped, it is unclear if Apple will kill the manufacturing of product or not as all three models of AirPort can still be bought from retail stores.

AirPort routers have not been updated since last 3 year and now that R&D has been killed off, there is a good chance that Apple will be pulling the plug from Router markets.
