Samsung’s Ultra Cheap Android Phone Galaxy J2 Has Leaked

Right after Galaxy A8’s launch, it looks like Samsung’s next Android phone has leaked. This time the phone is budget focused Galaxy J2’s 2018 edition.

The leak was first reported by a website WinFuture.de. Alongside with important specs, the site also posted some images of the phone with the price tag. Galaxy J2 will be a dual SIM phone and it will run on Android Nougat out of the box. It will come with a 5-inch qHD display, with the screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The display panel will be a Super AMOLED panel and unlike the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the display will have a 16:9 aspect ration.

The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC and it will be paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. On the back, the phone will be equipped with an 8-megapixel rear sensor and on the front, there will be a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone will reportedly come with 16 GB of inbuilt storage which will be expandable with the use of a microSD card.

The phone will supposedly cost almost EUR 115 or $136 which is a lot cheaper than other offerings in the Galaxy J series, however, comparing to Chinese makers like Xiaomi, the specs are a bit lacking for the price.
