Galaxy A series from the Korean smartphone giant is nothing new, we got 3 phones in the series last year and Samsung is releasing an update this year too. But, this year’s release will defiantly be more interesting because leaks have suggested that the phones will come with S8 like display this year. Some design renders of the Galaxy A5 were just leaked by from UK retailer Mobile Fun. And it was first reported by Sam Mobile.
Galaxy A5 (2018), has a big change compared to last year’s model as it includes an edge-to-edge display and just like Galaxy S8, it has no Home button. The Galaxy A5 (2018) will also have a taller aspect ratio like the Galaxy S8.
Fingerprint sensor will be placed just below the single camera lens. The volume rocker and power button are on left. The Bixby button is still on right. There are chances that final design of Galaxy A5 (2018) will remain on this pattern with few minor improvements in specs. But nothing can be confirmed as of now while this smartphone is also rumored to continue with the glass and metal design.
Specifications of the Galaxy A5 (2018) are 5.5-inch full HD Infinity Display, powered by in-house Exynos 7885 SoC or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB of RAM featuring a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
FCC certification is recently received by this device prior to an imminent launch. By schedule, the Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) should launch by the start of 2018. It will be interesting to see how the phone compares to other similarly priced phones in the market.
