In the upcoming smartphones by Samsung, we can expect dual cameras to be a regularity. Samsung’s Galaxy S9 which will be a hot-wait of the coming year 2018, will surely include it, but fortunately, we need not wait that long to buy a phone with this feature.
Samsung’s first dual camera smartphone, a brand new endeavor, was announced on Wednesday. After Note 8 is released firstly, we may look forward to tech advances by the South Korean tech group and launch its new phone.
Some details about the phone were leaked online recently. The phone will be called J7 Plus. It will house a 5.5-inch, 1080p, AMOLED display, 2.4 GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable up to 256 GB. It will include a fingerprint scanner, a 3,000 mAh battery, and will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box along with Samsung Bixby support added.
A midrange handset, it should be excellent in photography with a dual camera 13 MP sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a 5 MP sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. As an addition, “Live Focus” portrait feature is introduced with the Galaxy Note 8 — which utilizes both lenses to make subjects stand out from their backgrounds — it is to be present in the J7 Plus too. Its front camera is also going to be a powerful one 16 MP with a f/1.9 aperture.
The J7 Plus will feature a metal unibody in black, pink, and gold color variants. No news about it getting sold outside Asian territories for now, though the Galaxy J7 V and Galaxy J7 Perx were popular among US carriers earlier this year.
Though in India, it has become a sensation for mid-budget range for a while. Samsung has been regularly updating the Galaxy J series phones in the last couple of years and it will be interesting to see the new phones perform in the market.
