Samsung Will Start Mass Producing Galaxy S9 in January

Countless leaks have already made it clear that the South Korean Smartphone giant is working on the next versions of its Galaxy flagship phones. The phones are expected to be launched in January of 2018 and it looks like the company has started ordering the components of phones and is looking to start mass production of the phone by January.

The report came from ETNews in Tuesday this week, in which some industry insiders claimed that Samsung has already started procuring component for the Galaxy S9 Dua. It also cited that Samsung has adopted the new SLP circuit boards to makes room for bigger battery and other parts.

Aside from this, the report also mentioned that the company has started the mass production of the camera modules. Partron is working on the front facing module for S9 and Power Logics is manufacturing the front-facing camera for Galaxy S9 Plus. One more interesting information from the report is that the dual camera setup will be reserved for the Galaxy S9 Plus only.

The phones will have iris scanner integrated into the front camera for the S9 and S9 Plus will come with separate sensors. Considering Apple’s iPhone X has gotten many features previously exclusive for Android Phones, it will be interesting to see what Samsung does to compete Apple.
