A few days ago, we showed some leaked photos of Samsung’s crazy flip phone that had 2 displays and ran on Android. Well, looks like the company is ready to ship the phone to customers. Samsung’s latest flip phone was announced in China finally after months and months of rumors preceding it. The phone is called Leader 8 instead of WP2018 as most tipsters had guessed. It’s going to be a premium phone which is a major reason why it is not expected to find a market in West that does not seem willing to embrace flip phones over iPhone like simple phones.
This smartphone with Super AMOLED 4.2 inch full HD display will be consisting a data processing strength of Snapdragon 835 assisted by a 4GB RAM. In terms of direct comparison with other phones in the market, it may look like an average deal but consider that it’s a flip device with smaller screen, its productivity is may be impressive for many folks. The smartphone will have 64 GB of internal storage. For optics, a 12 MP camera with a f/1.7 aperture is available on the rear and a 5 MP snapper at front. The phone is powered by a 2300 mAh battery with wireless charging.
As rumored, the phone will probably not be available in the western market as it is devised specifically for China and some other Asian countries that may offer a good consumer receptivity for flip phones (it has happened with previous Samsung made flip phones in past). So, let us see how it goes this bet by Korean tech giant.
