Now that the Nokia 8 is out and Nokia 6 is already on the sales, HMD Global is getting more ambitious with every phone. Nokia 9 is to be HMD Global’s next flagship smartphone. The phone belongs to the premium range competitive to Apple’s iPhone X and Google’s Pixel 2.
We have already known some interesting details about the phone because of recent leaks and tips, but a new leak has revealed the design and possible colors of this upcoming device. Folks at NokiaPowerUser spotted the phone on Chinese website Baidu where the phone can be seen in all of its glory in its Polished Blue color variant.
It will possibly have an edge-to-edge display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The front panel leak also clears the scope of a curved display. Previous leaks had that that HMD Global will use OLED panel but it’s not sure yet.
Nokia 9 with 6GB and 8GB RAM will be two variants with IP68 certification and 128GB on-board storage. Possibly it will be Nokia first device with an Iris scanner, just like Samsung’s own Galaxy Note 8 also a fingerprint scanner at the back panel is added. Before today, Nokia 9 was ear seen on its website and seemingly showed the handset in a promotional image by in a Copper color variant.
As suggested, for now, Nokia 9 price will be EUR 750 (roughly Rs. 55,100). This price in the premium segment will compete with flagships from Samsung, Google, and Apple. In terms of optical specifications, it will have dual camera setup at the back with two 13-megapixel Zeiss sensors with dual-LED flash support, and the display, a 5.5-inch QHD(1440×2560 pixels) display. The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC.
