Yesterday, we discussed that Samsung is planning to sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7 devices in India and Vietnam. The source of news was South Korean publisher Hankyung, which reported that the smartphone giant is considering to sell refurbished versions of the phone with a slightly smaller battries.

Samsung today denied the plans and a spoksperson said to Gadgets360 that “The report on Samsung planning to sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7 smartphone[s] in India is incorrect.”

So, oops.

While Samsung has clearly denied plans to sell the phone in India, no one from samsug has denied about the sales in Vietnam.

Samsung has almost 2.5 million Note 7 devics in it’s inventory, which is, as we discuessed yesterday, a big pile of smartphones that have to be recycled. Add this the loss company had to deal in profts and selling refurbished phones does not sound like a crazy idea.  Now that company has not shown major interest in reselling the Note 7 devicse, it will be interesting to see what will happn to these 2.5 million Note 7 Units.
