LG Launches Q8, a Smaller But Still Tank Like Build Quality Version of V20

It looks like with the success of G6 and recently launched lineup of Q6 budget phones, LG’s is getting more confidant about it’s phone releases. LG has lately launched the Q8 in its new Q-series Smartphones. The purpose behind developing LG Q8 is to ship a mini LG V20 design with 5.2 Inch Display. LG has released all the new Smartphone in Italy only. There is no prior insinuation about launching LG Q8. Moreover, there is no declaration if the Smartphone will be launch outside of Italy.

LG Q8 ‘s USP is that it features a secondary screen with a screen resolution of 160×1040 pixels. Apart from that, the front of phone is dominated by a 5.2-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection with this new LG Q8. It supports company’s LG UX 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Instead of glass, the phone is built with metal and LG is sure that the phone can take a beating.

Internal guts of LG Q8 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The phone also has 32GB inbuilt storage, which can be extended by microSD card.

It comes with a dual camera feature which carries a 13-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture at the front and an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture at the rear. The Smartphones offers 3000mAh battery.

It provides the best ever connectivity options which are Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth v4.2, and USB Type-C. Additionally, it offers IP67 certification, which makes it water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
