Premium phones getting expensive day by day is not a new news, Apple has already launched the iPhone X at a hefty $1000 and Samsung also launched its Galaxy Note 8 at a price of $950 for the top tier model. Now, it looks like the next Samsung flagship will follow the trend too.
A recent report from ETNews suggested that the new Galaxy Phones will be significantly more expensive. As much as $889 or Rs 56,600 for the cheaper Galaxy S8 and $999 (or Rs 63,500 for the bigger Galaxy S9 Plus.
Speculations of the price hike have come just after a few days Samsung has sent invitations for the launch event which will be held on the 25th of Next month.
Aside from the newly reported price, we already know a lot about the upcoming phone thanks to many leaks. The biggest changes compared the Galaxy S8 are a new variable aperture feature for the rear camera, the updated Snapdragon 845 SoC, and a bigger battery. Surprisingly enough, no leak has shown that the phone will come with a dual camera setup on the back which is present on the Galaxy Note 8.
There is no doubt that Galaxy S phones are one of the most hyped on the Android smartphone market, it will be interesting to see how the phone compares to the iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 XL when it launches.
