However, reports from a Chinese website claimed that Samsung will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC which will be an octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.5GHz. Samsung revealed hints on the release of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 during the quarterly result announcements and declared that “new flagship smartphone in the second half [of 2017]”, “Galaxy Note 8 is indeed on the cards”. With these type of announcements, Samsung also clears that upcoming handset will be safer and more reliable.

Recently leaked specifications of Galaxy Note 8  show that the phone may come with a  6.3-inch Infinity display which is larger than that of Galaxy S8+ the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 SoC in the US and the Exynos 8895 chipset outside the US. Apart from that, specifications of upcoming Galaxy Note 8 hint of having 6GB RAM and up to 256 GB which is should be plenty for recording 4K videos and storing large files.
Note 7 has been a disaster in terms of PR, with explosions, recalls and then the replaced phones getting the same problems again, it will be interesting to see what Samsung does to make up about the problems Note 7 caused for the consumers.
