It has been no secret that Samsung is preparing to launch a 2018 update to the Galaxy J2 launched in 2017. The phone is supposed to be an entry-level phone which will compete with the likes of Nokia 2 and Moto C Plus. Providing us some information, the phone was recently listed on a Russian website BeCompact.ru where it revealed phone’s specs, features, and pricing.
The Android phone has a model number of SM-J250F and listing shows that the phone will support dual SIM card. On the front of the phone will be a 5.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and a 5-megapixel front camera with a front flash. The back of the phone will contain a single 8-megapixel sensor with Autofocus and an LED flash.
Internally, the phone will run on a Snapdragon 425 SoC which will have 4 cores running at 1.4 GHz. Galaxy J2 will have 16 GB internal storage and 1.5 GB of RAM.
Connectivity options in the listing include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a Micro-USB port. The phone will have a 2600mAh battery and it will weigh 153 grams.
The listing priced Galaxy J2 at RUB 7,990 which is approximately Rs 8860 or $138 and we can expect Samsung to launch the phone sometimes in coming weeks.
